While we were in the States over Christmas I had the chance to properly talk with my sisters. The interesting thing, was that they both kept talking about how Mom & Dad had done X when they did Q and how M&D criticised this and that decision and had an opinion on everything they did.

I was wondering the whole time, why M&D didn’t seem to give a rat’s ass what I did or didn’t do.

The reason occurred to me today: I don’t tell them anything.

I don’t tell them what I have or haven’t purchased. I haven’t told them who I am or am not in love with. I haven’t told them any of my future plans or aspirations.

Then I wondered, which way is better?
