So Horatio is here again, timing went odd. We had plans to go on a two hour cycle ride this morning. Got my bag together and went to the shed to get the bikes. I was going to put some things in the pannier, but there was a bottle of water in the bottom. So I leaned over, picked it up and set it on the shelf. Unfortunately, at some point during the whole leaning process something in my lower back went stab and I’ve been in pain ever since. Happily the pain is moving down my hips and thighs and if I stay still too long everything seizes up and I can’t walk. Which is why it is 3:19am and I’m up. I woke up at 1 in pain, had some drugs and asked Horatio to take me for a walk. I’ve tried to get back to sleep to no avail. So I’m sitting for a while hoping that the pain will shift somewhere else so I can lie down again and sleep.

I have a huge back log of things I want to write about, like Horatio’s last visit [and this one], Weasel’s body snatching [wonderful but weird] and more I’m sure [Lindsay visiting in March!!], but I haven’t been able to carve out the necessary time/energy.

Anyway, got some pain to get to bed.
